normally an ultrasound technician can tell you the exact date of conception on your first or second ultrasound depending on how far along you are.

You take your last menstral period and half way through your cycle is when it was concieved. BUT, your gestation period starts at the beginning of that first cycle.

i don’t reckon that there is really any way to tell date of conception unless you have long periods between sexual experiences or were A.I. babies are early and late.

You can use your baby’s dob BUT there are so many other factors that make dob an inaccurate way to determine conception. For example, my daughter was premature. The best way is through the ultrasound by measuring the baby’s physical features. Doctor’s always go by the menstrual cycle thing but for someone like me who never USED to keep track, it was extremely hard to even use that…I do not reckon that anything is truly accurate. A lot of it is guestimation.

You can never really tell the exact date of conception since some babies are born early and some are way over due.

If you click on this link :

You can place in the first day of your LMP and the approx. length of your cycle in days, and it will tell you your possible, nearly exate conception date.

no its not right that once your baby is born the doctor will know the exact date of conception babies come early / late / on time and the size of your child isnt a dead give away to it why do you question?

No. Conception can occur near immediately upon ejaculation or a few days later with the slow swimmers. It also depends upon your cycle and when your body releases eggs. Typically women release an egg mid-way through their cycle…but again, that is not the “rule.”

A doctor with the help of an ultrasound (and knowing when your last period was) can give you a range, but nothing more.

I will apologize from the start if I am incorrect, but I detect that you are curios about who the father may be…that will require a DNA sample and cannot be determined based upon a conception date alone…again, if I am incorrect, I’m sorry.

No. There is absolutely no way to tell the exact day a baby was conceived. Even an ultrasound during pregnancy cannot tell you this! Ultrasounds are NOT accurate down to the day. In early pregnancy, I reckon they are accurate within a few days, but in later pregnancy they are only accurate with in a week or two. Babies do not develop at the exact same rate in utero (just like they don’t once they are born), therefore, there is just no way to know exactly how long your baby was growing inside you.
